“Donna and I often talk about the peace of mind we have knowing that mother is loved and nurtured at Serenity Home. My oldest son, Peter, visited there for the first time in June. He was so impressed with the kindness of the staff. He said ‘Even the residents who don't know that they are well being cared for received the same attention as the ones who still think clearly.’ He was also envious of the mega-sized flatscreen TV and bright sunroom. “Thank you for a most wonderful celebration of Mother's Day. Your efforts and planning were apparent as everyone so well remembered. The details of the flowers, the corsages for the ladies, the beautiful table settings, and the beautiful food have continued to be the topics of conversation even today.
I must also tell you how perfect the music was -so lively-infectious-happy and appropriate! Mother was overwhelmed with the attention you gave her and the love from your heart, and I can't remember if she ever had a corsage before!
You really made us all feel very special when in fact you are the most special of all. The flowerbed was exactly as Daddy would have planted it, even the same colors. He was always the one for order, and neatness, and exactness.
He would have been so happy to be telling everyone just how to plant, and each day he would have measured the growth and watched the leaves form. Watching the birds and squirrels was his favorite pastime. I am so very pleased and look forward to watching the blooms appear as the summer comes. I have wanted to help in any way to create this outdoor heaven where the rest of the ladies and gents could use it and it is perfect. The awning is lovely as was the furniture, and the grass is beautiful all the way to levy.
